Calvin Curtin joined Never Boring as Marketing Director after a 25-year career in the jewelry industry including close to a decade as a one-man marketing machine. Calvin brings an inexhaustible creativity and unparalleled enthusiasm to the job, and tempers it with years of experience doing every conceivable job in the marketing world from sweeping the floors to sales to large scale branding.
Calvin approaches every day at Never Boring as an adventure: new people to meet, new experiences to learn from and new challenges to overcome. He says he’s never had a job or a meeting where he hasn’t learned something, and hopes he never will.
Who are you favorite bands?
I like all kinds of music. Every genre brings something to the table, it fits a mood and has a place in my collection. I love Stevie Ray Vaughan, though, and I have a soft spot for AC/DC and Van Halen, that’s the music I grew up with.
What are your hobbies?
I’m an avid golfer, though I don’t get to do it as much as I used to. I love to travel with my wife and just hang out with my kids. I have two teenagers and a two year old.
What service clubs are you affiliated with?
I’m the Treasurer of the Denair Lions Club, I’m also Chairman of the Red Shield Advisory Council in Modesto and a volunteer Public Information officer for Stanislaus County.
How are you Never Boring?
You never know where I’m going to come from or what I’m going to come out with. I like to have fun at work and throughout my life and I always keep people guessing.
